Online PhD Program - Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership
The Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership (Ph.D. EL) prepares professionals from various levels of education for K-12, higher education and beyond as leaders, educators, researchers and scholars. The focus of the PhD program is educational leadership. The student selects from the following concentration, K-12 Leadership, Higher Education Leadership, or the E-Learning Leadership option, within the Ph.D. program. All students will develop scholarly and research abilities directed toward the creation of new knowledge, original application and/or transmission of existing knowledge, as demonstrated by a PhD dissertation. The Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership degree consists of 48 semester course credits.

There are no residency requirements for this doctorate program. Touro University is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Walden University - Online PhD Program - Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Administrator Leadership for Teaching and Learning
Walden's Ed.D. degree program, distance learning online PhD program, is designed for K-12 teachers who want to continue teaching while assuming leadership roles in their school and community. It focuses on the “teacher as leader” and empowers experienced master teachers to effect change and improve student learning. The distance learning online PhD degree program is based on standards developed by the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium and the National Staff Development Council.
The Administrator Leadership for Teaching and Learning specialization, online PhD program, is designed for K-12 administrators and teachers who want to increase their ability to influence and transform their educational organization. The curriculum has been developed to focus on building a collaborative organization—a new and innovative model in administrator leadership.
Prospective Alabama online Phd program students: Contact the Teacher Education and Certification Division of the Alabama State Department of Education at 334-242-9935 or www.alsde.edu to verify that these programs qualify for teacher certification, endorsement, and/or salary benefits.
Prospective Washington state students are advised to contact the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction at 360-725-6320 or profed@ospi.wednet.edu to determine whether this education program is approved for teacher certification or endorsements in Washington state. Additionally, teachers are advised to contact their individual school district as to whether this program may qualify for salary advancement.
