DBA Doctorate in Business Administration - Distance Learning Online PhD Program

The Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) is the most advanced business degree. Program Design

The Distance Learning Doctoral programs of SMC consist of an obligatory Core Courses Stage. Its successful completion leads to the Specialization Courses related to the program of enrollment. Doctoral students subsequently continue with their individual Dissertation Stage, which consists of research and preparation of a dissertation. Hence, the program is divided into three main stages whereas students may only pursue subjects within their current stage. Distance learning students may take a maximum of 4 years to complete the program. Upon completion of all subjects and the dissertation, students are required to pass a Final Grand Exam and defend their Dissertation vis-à-vis the Defense Committee. The Final Grand Exam covers topics from all subjects of study.
