Adizes Graduate School Online Degree Programs

The Adizes Graduate School online degree programs facilitate in-depth research into change management theory, organizational management, and leading change in complex systems. Through interaction with their professional peers worldwide, participants seek commonalities in how change may be managed across disciplines and cultures. Ph.D. degree candidates design new models for managing change in their own unique context.. The core concepts are the proven Adizes theory and Spiral Dynamics, an evolutionary based framework for societal emergence and evolution.

Program Structure

Work in the online Ph.D. degree program is open to a broad range of candidates.. The online Ph.D. degree is open to persons with either 30 units of graduate credit or a Masters degree. Students holding a Bachelors degree may dual-track by completing five extra courses.

The online Ph.D. degree requires 9 academic courses (11 weeks each) plus 3 terms of supervised dissertation writing. Students are not formally accepted as Ph.D. candidates until a Concept Paper is reviewed and approved by a Doctoral Committee after completion of three core courses: Adizes, Spiral Dynamics and Epistemology. The dissertation will be defended before a committee in Santa Barbara, California. Please see the section entitled AGS Conferences for further information.

There are 10 courses in the Masters Degree Program, 11 weeks each. A comprehensive thesis or exam is required to earn the Masters Degree. The Masters Degree thesis or exam is optional for students in the dual-track Ph.D. degree online, as they will be focusing on the dissertation as their final project.

All of the online degree programs require 3 terms each year with 6-week breaks in between. Visit Schedule and Holidays for current details.

Students can accelerate their program of study by attending live seminars in Adizes and/or Spiral Dynamics concepts as part of their coursework. The seminar schedule overlaps regular programming, and seminars are offered twice yearly. The online degrees will each take a minimum of 3.5 years.
